So Many "Pretties"

Lily loves princesses. Lily loves "pretties." And apparently Lily loves body art. In fact, body art of any type will do--stickers, marker, or tattoos. Right now she's got a hot tat of Sir Topham Hat adorning her right ankle. We were curious whether this was a fleeting phase, or whether this represented a long-term interest, so we uploaded these two pictures and a swab of cheek DNA into Google's new G-netic Seer Program (GSP), to see where life will take Lils over the next 28 years . . .

. . . And here is what the program spit out. Not what we had pictured for her, but as long as she's happy that's the important thing, right?

Just thought I would let anyone in the area know that Ally Condie and Lindsay Hepworth, who are the editors of our book, The Mom's Club Diaries, will be doing a book signing on Saturday, March 8th at:
Seagull Orem South – 1 to 3 p. (This is the one west of University Mall)
331 E. University Parkway

The book is now available at Deseret Book, online, and through most LDS bookstores. Thank you to all of those who have purchased it and given me feedback. You have been so nice.

Attention Deficit

Select Diagnostic Criteria for ADHD:

  • Is often forgetful in daily activities.
  • Is easily distracted by extraneous stimuli.
  • Has difficulty sustaining attention to tasks.
  • Often fails to give close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork, work, or other activities.
Case Study:
Four-year-old boy is so preoccupied by talking about tornadoes that he puts his pajama pants on over his head. Does not notice his mistake for well over 45 seconds. (We got the camera as quick as we could, but we missed the part where he had arm A in one pant leg, his head in the other leg, and he couldn't figure out where to put arm B, sorry folks . . . fortunately this last part is pretty cute too). Enjoy.

Family Visit

We had a house (apartment, actually) full of visitors this weekend, and it was a blast. It was a short stay, but we had a great time. We caught a movie, played a round of golf, had some heated board game competitions, and took a nature walk at a local park. Oh yeah, and we got Aunt Eileen a hot new wig! We were sad to see everybody head home, and we hope there will be another visit soon.

A Little Experimentation

Lillian has been experimenting with some new looks lately. Hopefully this one won't catch on with the middle school kids. . .
