Bad Karma?

We're not sure what Eric has done to accrue it, but he seems to have had a major dose of bad karma working against him lately. Maybe he's been roasting ants with a microscope when we haven't been looking. Or maybe it was something he did in a past life. Perhaps he was Little Bunny Foo Foo in a past reincarnation, and its time to pay up for the "bopping field mice on their heads" incident.

Whatever the cause, he's had a rough few weeks. All told he's had a total of about 12 days of miserable illness. Then, to add insult to injury, a girl ran into him at the 24 Fitness "Kids Club" and cut a hole in his lip with her teeth. We tried to hold the cut shut with a home-made butterfly bandage (see below), but every time he smiled it would pull open.


When he woke up the next morning, the cut was infected and his lip was huge. Convinced that our medical expertise wasn't cutting it, we took Eric to the doctor, who closed it with a prescription strength adhesive. It seems to have worked well. Our only complaint--it looks like he has a glob of snot permanently plastered to his lip.
