Success!

We did it! This is actually a post that I should have done in November. Eric and I finally finished 'Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons', so he got to have a funfetti cake as a reward. To anyone out there looking for a methodical, research-based way to teach your child to read, this is highly recommended. I have also found that it is transitioning well with the Spalding reading program he is doing in Kindergarten. It feels a little strange at first because everything is scripted, but it makes it nice to know that it is fairly error-proof. Good job, Eric!

Good job Jen, too! We have been loving this book as well. We still have about half way to go, but it is a great method. Congrats!

Congrats! That is just awesome. And thanks for the heads-up on the book. We'll have to get it for when Bethany gets there.

What a cute little reader he is! Way to go Eric (and Mom, too)!

Scott just pointed out that Alec might have had something to do with this as well. Oops. Good for you, too, Dad!

Very cool! I might just have to check that book out. Jack is doing amazing, but of course I would love to give him an edge.

I'm inspired! I'm going to order it on half.com and teach my kid to read too! :)
