Would you pay $500 for this train table? We weren't even willing to fork out 120 bucks for a generic train table at Target. Instead we thought we would be economical and make our own train table, after all Eric has been coveting one for at least two years now.
Roughly 21 man hours later we had the beautiful final product. And then I started doing a little bit of math,
21 x (average hourly wages) = YIKES! A lot more than 120 bucks.
Here's to hoping that Eric appreciates the sentimentality of the final product.P.S. It might not be worth $500, but it turned out pretty well I think. Thanks so much to Dad, Mom, Spencer, and Isaac who all helped so much.

I never actually saw it...and I must say I am very impressed! That train table is the bomb!!! Eric is so lucky to have something so beautifully constructed. He better be grateful! :)
That is the coolest train table ever!! Here's to handmade gifts!! YAY!
You guys are so lucky to have such great talent in your family! The table looks amazing! I would pay $500 monopoly dollars for sure...(that's the money I use now since we are all out of the real stuff!)
Jen -this is awesome! did you paint the top? it looks great. Good job.
Wow, that is pretty impressive. I am sure Eric will spend hours playing on it and all the time and effort will be well worth it. Great job!

That is awesome. Way to go! They are so much better when they are homemade anyways! Good job.
Love the table, made by family = priceless! Send me your email (promise not to post it) when you get a minute! (JQ, Taylor's wife)
Awesome job. I can't believe that is home-made. You could make a business selling those they look so good. It looks like your son really enjoys it too.
Amazing with a capital "A"! The train table is great! Looks like it will provide well over 21 hours of train enjoyment. Does it fold and fit under the bed too?
You forgot to factor in the value of the love and excitement that went into it. The handmade stuff is always worth so much more!
It's awesome! You've got lucky kids :)
